1. Our principle
evow is cookie-minimal. No third-party advertising cookies, no behavioural tracking, no commercial social pixels. The only cookies set are strictly necessary for the service to work or for internal anonymous measurement.
2. Cookies in use
2.1 Strictly necessary (no consent required)
- __session — Firebase Auth session cookie, 14 days. Without it you would be signed out on every page.
- evow_locale — remembers your preferred language (en / fr / de / es / it / pt / ja), 1 year.
- evow_csrf — anti-CSRF token, session only.
2.2 Local storage (functional equivalent)
- evow:onboarding:slots:v3 — local saves of your onboarding profiles in progress, indexed by (profile_type × gender × age). Lets you resume where you stopped without losing answers. Lives only in your browser, never sent to the server. Clearable from your browser settings.
2.3 Measurement (consent required)
- evow_analytics — anonymous session id to measure product usage in aggregate. No correlation with your identity. Optional.
3. Cookies we DO NOT use
- No third-party advertising cookies (Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, etc.).
- No retargeting pixels.
- No commercial social network cookies (share buttons excluded).
- No behavioural fingerprinting.
4. Your choices
You can decline or withdraw measurement consent at any time from the footer link "Cookies". Strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled without breaking the service.
You can also configure your browser to block cookies. Docs: Chrome, Firefox, Safari.
5. Updates
This policy may evolve as new features ship. Any material change is notified by email.
